My Graduation

I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University on the 4th of July after four years of hard work! I thought I would do an outfit post as I had no idea what to wear so hopefully this would help a few of you who may be graduating soon! I also wanted to share a few photos of my special day! I was spoiled rotten with lots of cards and gifts from my family and friends and felt so proud of everything we had achieved over the last four years.

Every Day Make Up

Hey guys!
Today I thought I would do a post on the make up I wear day to day if I'm going to work or going shopping etc. I usually keep it quite simple and don't use too many products but still like to achieve an effortless, natural look.

For my base, I start with Benefit's Porefessional primer which helps my foundation to stay in place all day. I then apply Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation (101 Classic Ivory) with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush which buffs into the skin easily and is a good match for my skin tone. Next, I use the Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer under my eyes and the now infamous Lasting Perfection Concealer on any redness. Both of these are from Collection 2000 which do such a good job at concealing imperfections with a reasonable price tag.
I like to set my foundation at this stage using my Real Techniques Powder Brush and the Clinque Stay Matt Sheer Pressed Powder which helps take any shine away from my oily T-Zone. I then swirl my Boots Blusher Brush in Soap and Glory's Glow All Out highlighter and apply to the top of my cheeks followed by Benefit's Hervana Blusher for a natural flush.
For my eyes I tend to keep it simple. I use Avon's Glimmerstick in Smokey Diamond for some definition along my top lash line (also easy to blend for a smokey look - although I only used a little this time which is why you cant really see it in the photo!) and then curl my eyelashes using my eyelash curler from Boots. I was never very fussed about using an eyelash curler but it makes such a difference and makes it easier to apply the mascara. I use Benefit's They're Real Mascara which last all day and really helps to elongate my lashes.
Finally, I apply Burts Bee's Mango Butter Lip Balm and if I'm in the mood I then apply a thin layer of Rimmel's Apocalips Lip Lacquer. I have it in Celestial which is good for adding a pop of colour but it's not too bright so its easy to wear!

Let me know if you enjoyed this post, I'm thinking of doing some similar posts in the future.
