After our Olympic success last year, 2013 is the time for Sporty Chic with athletic-inspired short A-line dresses being spotted on NYFW’s catwalk, from shows such as Victoria Beckham’s to DKNY. These casual cool dresses look super stylish when worn with leather-strapped wedges or dainty heels for an elegant look, or with converse trainers for a more laid back, everyday fashion feel.
Arteecollage are one step ahead of the high-fashion trends with their Long Grey V-neck Top Tunic featuring a hood, creating a sporty feel. The long sleeves on this Arteecollage dress mean it’s great for keeping warm because even as we approach spring it can still be pretty chilly! Like many of Arteecollage’s garments, the hooded tunic is made of modal fabric, meaning it is super soft, stretchy and comfortable when worn for any occasion. The Mia suede T bar wedges from will carry on the chic, effortless feel and allow the focus to be on the make-up and letting the quality of the modal fabric speak volumes.

As the design of the tunic is very chic, contemporary and simple, it would be great for a night out with a dramatic smoky eye or bright lip. Chanel is all about the eyes this season, whereas a pop of colour on the lips was seen on the catwalk at Michael Kors and Giles. Adding a fuchsia or red lip to this look will not only make it stand out, but will ensure you are bang on trend in both the fashion and beauty stakes.

Arteecollage: Versatile Vest

As soon as I saw this vest on the Arteecollage website I was in love! The colour was the first thing that caught my eye, its slightly different to your standard blue and the simplicity of the top makes for no fuss elegance. The length and stretch of the vest means it can be styled in many different ways and will always be comfortable thanks to the modal fabric.
I’m usually in a rush in the morning so I like an outfit that can be thrown on but still look chic. For a day at university or meeting friends this vest can be the vocal point of a casual look.  I chose these BlackContrast Panel Leggings from River Island as I think the subtle detail of the leggings keeps the outfit from looking too plain. To carry on the comfortable feel I’ve paired the vest and leggings with some blackconverse from Schuh. These shoes are great with a variety of outfits as I think there really easy to wear and ensure that at the end of a busy day shopping you won’t have sore feet! To finish the look with a girly touch I’ve added this 'Evie'Black and Gold Chain Necklace from It adds a little detail and keeps the look from being too plain.
As the vest is slightly stretchy, it can be worn as a short dress which is fabulous for a night time look. Again I think this is a great colour for a multitude of occasions. I have paired the vest with a goldstatement collar necklace from Wallis which makes the vest stand out in contrast to the golden tone. A touch of the golden colour is also found in the blackfan tip heels from New Look which helps tie the outfit together. Finally, this studded sleeve jacket from the Mango sale at House of Fraser completes the look and keeps the vest looking smart and sophisticated for a dinner date or a night on the tiles!
The Arteecollage website and blog is having abit of a revamp over the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled for some more new items coming soon!
